Huntington¡¯s Disease with Manifestation of Psychotic Symptoms - A Case Report -

Abstract
Huntington¡¯s disease(HD) is an autosomal dominant, progressive, neurodegenerative disease. HD shows a rare prevalent rate especially in Asia and manifests with various psychiatric symptoms including irritability, aggression, delusion, hallucination, depression, obsessive-compulsion. Although non-motor symptoms are much prevalent and significant in regards with diagnosis and treatment of HD, psychiatric aspects of HD has been less illuminated than motor aspects in South Korea. The author will describe a 49-years old man who manifested abrupt psychotic symptoms with chorea and discuss a diagnostic process and treatment progress of psychiatric aspects of the case with HD.
